Root Canal Awareness Week!

It is officially Root Canal Awareness Week! In celebration of this week, here are some endodontic facts:

  • Every day, more than 41,000 root canals are performed
  • More than 15 million root canals are performed every year
  • On average, endodontists perform 25 root canal treatments each week; general dentists perform fewer than 2 per week on average
  • In 2016, 213 students graduated from endodontic specialty programs
  • Only 45% of people have heard of a root canal specialist
